MIUI 9 Global ROM now available for the Xiaomi Mi 8

The Xiaomi Mi 8was launched with MIUI 9.5, with the promise that the upcoming MIUI 10 update will land on this Xiaomi flagship too. While the OEM is still in the process of Beta testing the MIUI 10 update on the Mi 8, the first MIUI 9 Global ROM is now available for the device to update and to sideload.

This build bears version number 9.5.13.0 OEAMIFA, and you can expect it to land on your device through the official OTA update process. Alternatively, you can also sideload the update by downloading the fastboot ROM by following along this link. The changelog for this update simply mentions “Fixed Bugs,” which isn’t very helpful as far as changelogs go.
